| In December 2006, OneSteel and Smorgon Steel announced a proposal to establish a Joint Venture incorporating the Structural Pipe & RHS businesses with Smorgon's P&T facility. The formation of this Joint Venture allows OneSteel and Smorgon Steel to develop an improved supply and service offer to our pipe and tube customers.
The JV (Australian Tube Mills Pty Ltd) is a stand-alone company separate from both OneSteel and Smorgon Steel, with assets owned 50/50 by OneSteel and Smorgon Steel. Management and Directors have been drawn from both OneSteel and Smorgon Steel. [more] |
