The versatile pipe product range satisfy Standards for low pressure reticulation/piping, general mechanical and structural applications. For a specific outside diameter these sections have a larger wall thickness than CHS in the Structural Products range. However, the Pipe product range is of a lower strength grade to Structural CHS.

Standardised diameters and thicknesses for Pipe products permit industry accepted connections to be readily used in fluid conveyancing applications. Larger wall thicknesses also help to provide longer service life in heavy fluid and wear applications i.e. that encountered in mining operations, slurry and concrete pumping. A galvanized coating and the large wall thickness improves the Pipe’s corrosion resistance in some water reticulation applications.

Pipe products are manufactured and tested to meet the requirements of the following specifications:

• AS 1074 – Steel tubes and tubulars for ordinary service.
• AS 1163 – Structural steel hollow sections.
