SiloTube has a most interesting profile as it is a four-sided tubular section without any equal length sides. The section was initially designed to be an optimal element for silo ring beams – the transition between the silo wall and discharge hopper. When used for this critical structural element, the inclined surface of SiloTube follows the hopper angle whereas the other three surfaces remain horizontal or vertical. This allows for easy joining of the silo wall to the hopper plate via the SiloTube section.

Apart from being used as a ring beam, SiloTube can also be used as an economical alternative for silo support legs. Though designed for silos and bins, SiloTube can also be used in various other applications which can exploit its different cross-section.
